About Araya

Araya began with a simple conversation on a bus ride through northern Ethiopia in 2019. (see more) What started as an idea between cousins grew into a mission of sourcing natural materials from Ethiopia and creating products that provided meaningful economic opportunities for local communities. Through partnerships with entrepreneurs and artisans, we witnessed firsthand how businesses can restore dignity, strengthen communities, care for creation, and share the hope of Christ.

In 2023, Araya evolved into a curated collection of artisan-made goods and thoughtfully designed gift boxes. Today, we partner with ethical makers around the world to offer meaningful gifts that celebrate craftsmanship, empower communities, and tell stories of hope. Every purchase supports artisans who are creating lasting social, environmental, economic, and spiritual impact through their work.

Our mission is to share stories of the beautiful work God is doing in communities around the world by curating ethical, sustainable, and missional collections that inspire meaningful generosity. We believe every purchase is an opportunity to bless others—a tangible act of redemptive giving that glorifies God, supports communities, and invites others to participate in His work around the world.
